HIRC is an industrial plant built with state-of-the-art technology and a vertical design — optimizing space and reducing real estate and operational costs. It processes hydrocarbon waste to produce high-value finished goods for industrial use, delivering significant environmental and societal benefits while actively advancing the circular economy.

HIRC’s oil valorization project represents a practical step toward a sustainable circular economy. Its mission is to offtake hydrocarbon industrial waste and semi-finished streams from upstream operations, refineries, and the petrochemical industry.

The facility’s premium products include:
• Purified glycols
• Benzene
• Toluene
• Xylenes
• Industrial C9–C10 solvents
• Purified lube base oils

The facility is designed to process five primary types of waste or semi finished hydrocarbon feedstocks and convert more than 60% of its output into reusable circular products. The main feed streams include:

• Semi-finished pyrolysis oils / BTX from the petrochemical industry
• Spent or used lubricant and engine oils
• Contaminated single or multi-component glycols
• Tyre pyrolysis oils for reprocessing (a new feed stream)
• Surplus hydrocarbon condensates
